Buzios
The resort of Búzios is situated on a peninsula. It has grown out of fishing village which was "discovered" in the 1960s by Brigitte Bardot and other representatives of the international jet set and now is one of the most fashionable and most expensive bathing resorts in the country with elegant shops and well developed tourist infrastructure. Its 23 beaches and 18 islands attract visitors from all over the world.
Buzios offers beaches for many tastes. Geriba with good waves, surf, wind surf and many beautiful people. Azeda and Joao Fernandes beach you can enjoy the calm waters, schooner cruise, diving classes, see coral reefes, saling and get beautiful pictures at the top of the hills.
Búzios center is the famous Rua das Pedras, or Street of Stone (which really is - flagstone). Búzios is known for its illustrious beauty and district charm. Tour the small peninsula and glimpse the unique architectural designs, natural wildlife, or spend a couple of hours shopping inside the trendy boutiques.
